2 Jul 2008 14:36When you fall from a high enough distance it doesn't feel anything at all like the sudden drop of a roller coaster. It's as close to flight as most people will ever experience; a comfortable feeling of support and floating with only the slightest pressure of air against the body.
Of course, if you are air it's a little different. You can increase the resistance, you can decrease it, you can even give yourself the roller-coaster drop sensation and let it last all the way down.
All the way down, from whatever height you started at, with the sensation of suddenly dropping never, ever ceasing and the sound of the wind whistling in your ears as loudly as the screams of children on a roller coaster. You can feel the stomach-rising, breathless, vertigo-inducing sensation that so many people spend weekends seeking and all for the price of time.
As far as Xaldin is concerned the time is worth it. It's a very intense situation.
