Kiddie AU, maybe?
1 Feb 2012 21:18It was just one of those things where nothing went right. The prototype non-magical teleporter managed to fry Braig's senses enough that he wasn't up to trying to teleport a rock, let alone three grown men. Dilan wasn't that great at teleportation at the best of times, and his magical senses were also cheerfully fried. Pierce's, what little he had, were doing okay, but it didn't help.
And then the damn teleporter didn't even have the decency to come with them. Or send their luggage. No, it was just the three men and the clothing that was closest to their bodies at time of transport...which meant that Dilan's shirt had been ripped at the neck in order to form a kilt of sorts while the other two stood around in t-shirts and underwear. All of them did have socks.
Three men, limited clothing, and the phone that Pierce had been holding at the time of button pressing. The now-dead phone which refused even to give the cheerful little bleeple of powering on, let alone inform them of bars.
Dilan, one hand shading his face, mused; "It could be somewhere in Arizona. The mesas look about right." and Braig offered, "We'll be able to get a better idea once the sun goes down and we can check the stars."
Both of them did their best to ignore the human sitting in the desert dirt screaming at his phone and clawing at the casing in an attempt to remove it with nothing but bitten-down fingernails.
