"Few more laps sound good." He shoved himself off of the wall and back into the rhythm of swimming; long strokes to stretch his body a bit more before they left.

Which left her...holding the towel while Nara chuckled somewhere nearby. It was only natural to throw the by-then sopping material at her trainer and stick her tongue out like a nicely mature woman. And just to prove she could be good, she swam in the lane next to Dilan, working her shoulders and arms more than her legs.

Dilan did his usual laps, above and below the water, for another few loops and then heaved himself out with a faint moue of distress. Being in the water? Fine. Being out of the water and wet? Ick ick ick.

She finished her last lap when she noticed him climbing out, then rested her chin on the edge to watch him. HE WAS NICE TO WATCH!

Cue more Nara chuckling before he got down to doing his own laps.

When she noticed his discomfort though she hopped out and made a sliding dash for towels! TOWELS! "Wet cat?" She asked, draping him liberally.

"Wet cat." Dilan agreed, scrubbing at himself to dry it off, "I love swimming. I hate being wet out of the water."

She passed more towels as he seemed to need them, happy to cart soaked ones to the bin by the pool edge. "Given that..thank you for swimming with me." She gave him a soft grin and helped him squeeze out his hair (there were a lot of dreads to deal with!). "And you look incredible good regardless of discomfort?"

"Oh, I love swimming! It's worth the ick. I just like to keep towels on hand." He waves one of them briefly before returning to squeezing, "And thank you."

"I can still thank you, whether you enjoy swimming or no." She paused in the drying to find a spot on his face under the towels to kiss. "Thank you, thank you, thank you." She smirked and gave him a peck for each thanks.

He nuzzled her with a laugh and said, "Well thank you for the invitation, so there."

"And thank you both for not making me make new rules about pool conduct!" Nara called after one of his laps.

Aya stuck her tongue out at her sparring instructor and finishes squeezing Dilan's dreads. "We can exit and spare Nara's sensibilities?"

"Thank you for not hitting us with a cold hose!" Dilan called back, "Lets shall." he murmured to Aya, giving her a quick hug and then heading towards the locker room.

"Well, you're not kids, so you get one warning before the hose!"

Aya laughed and flicked the end of a towel at Nara before he ducked back under the water. "Meet you after showers in the gym then dear." Time to dash to the showers and get dressed! Hmmm, she owed him a dinner didn't she? Somewhere in there?

Dilan's laugh floated back towards Nara, then he went in to shower and get dressed again.

Afterwards he went to peer around the gym, cat-like, poking into this, that, and everything.

Aya was content to lean against the door back into the gym, watching her boyfriend...prowl. Prowl and poke. It was adorable. "Inspecting one of my homes away from home?"

"Making sure it passes par would be my guess. He seems the type to want assurances his girlfriend is well taken care of." Nara opined, towel around his waist and an amused expression on his face. "So, my gym suit?"

"Yup!" Dilan said, grinning, "Can't help it, I'm feline. I have to poke my nose into everything. It's a good gym, sir. Do you give classes to beginners?"

Not him. Beginners.

"I can see that. I'm glad it works for you." Nara was pretty sure Dilan wouldn't have talked Aya out of attending his gym but...he was still glad! "And yes, I do. Both martial arts beginning classes, mixing several styles as students require...and less standardized self defense courses and confidence building."

"I require my subordinates and grad students to have well-rounded lives. Do you think you could handle twenty to thirty scientists? They range from moderately fit to Cheetoh-assed. Here or at the labs, and I can offer eighty dollars per person per class, minimum of a hundred and sixty dollars, twice a week." Dilan's arm curled around Aya again.

"I approve of your approach!" Nara grinned, then settled into thinking things over. "I won't be able to get a diverse mix like that up to competition levels, but I can get them better. Fit, healthier, and able to defend themselves." He wasn't a miracle worker!

"Provided they can work with me. I'm a patient person but a large class on my own...well, idiots will be ejected if they deliberately cause delays and problems."

"I don't expect miracles, I expect people who can walk up three flights of stairs without spending the rest of the day looking vaguely ill." Dilan said dryly. Some of the lab techs are, well. Less than svelte. "If smaller classes would be easier I can split schedules to make it more convenient for you."

Honesty compelled him to admit, "I could tell Mary (c-c-a#) to split schedules. She runs my professional life."

"Actually, smaller classes would be a good idea, especially as we're beginning and working out plans for each person." He rubbed a hand up along his head and sighed. "Actually, I'd like to bring in another trainer under me. Ramos I think. She's a tough woman, but a lot of women especially prefer to start out with at least one female teacher, plus she's attractive enough that the reluctant ones tend to show up anyway." He knew how to use his assets properly!

"Her husband tends to be incredibly amused by the eye-candy approach to class attendance." Nara chuckled.

"Do what you need to do." Dilan said, simply, "I'll pay her the same amount. Call me tomorrow and we can set up times, and get paperwork sorted out."

"I'll get in touch with her tomorrow morning and we'll discuss options. I should be able to give you a rough schedule in the afternoon. Write your number there at the desk." The tiny desk in the corner by the door because it wasn't really necessary to the gym?

Dilan, instead, stuck one of his brilliant purple business cards on the desk next to a note about why.

"Now, Aya, are you up for dinner?"

Well, that worked too! And purple was, admittedly, hard to lose. "Thank you," Nara called to his back.

"Dinner," she agreed. "My treat today. How does Szechuan sound?" She slid forward from the locker room door to wrap an arm around Dilan's waist.

"Spicy and delicious." Dilan informs her, "And something that we can share."
