Kiddie AU

November 11th, after the great hair dying Halloween, when the kids got home from school there was a strange man sitting on the porch with Lenna, Elcy, and Yinsi. He was seven foot seven inches tall and seemed to take up the entire porch. Skin four shades darker than Dilan's, brilliantly green Katzu eyes, and braids down to his knees of thick, black and grey hair.

He was in a beautiful coat of terrible chartreuse, and the instant the boys saw him Dilan bolts forward shrieking happily in too-fast Katzu.

Braig grabbed Aya's hand and explained, "That's his great-grand-uncle Sannish."

HE COULDN'T ESCAPE THEM! H WAS AT THE MERCY OF THE TUB MONSTERS!

One of which was totally sitting on him to keep him in th tub.

Aya wasn't budging! In fact she was attacking one of Braig's feet with a washcloth. Sure, he'd showered, but obviously they couldn't assume he was clean because HE HADN'T BEEN THERE IN THE TUB WITH THEM!

Where scrubbing meant 'vaguely using the washcloth like she'd seen a shoe shine guy do'.

Braig had one kid per leg! He was doomed! "Hey, I know that! I was just having fun! He's already mostly clean!" Though her method was getting a whole lot of bubbles from the soapy rag!

BUBBBBBBBLES!

That still left Dilan! THE WAR WAS NOT LOST!

Aya did her best to spread out in Braig's arm, blocking any attempt at her partner in crime! "Are you that hungry?" Hungry enough to stop playing?? She...was kinda but she wouldn't admit it.

Aya froze a moment, looking at Sannish. Since he didn't immediately go into the 'What are you doing?' tirade though, well, obviously he wasn't there to stop them. So, naturally, she grinned and pulled the shower curtain closed.

Oh, well, that meant Dilan! He was the only kitty! It'd be tricky trying to keep Braig down all alone but...she'd try! "Save us some Dilan!"

"Awwwwwww, but I'm a monkey and Braig is a Mink this week!" So not kittens! The tub was draining though, that meant getting out and drying off before they got too cold. "Braig, your towels are awesome and fuzzy!" Yes, she said it every time.

She made the obligatory 'buhbuhbuhbuh' noises as her head was rubbed then blinked up at him. "But you're wrong, the boys told me it's about my parents that are monkeys so I'm a monkey!"

"Actually I think we're kids which are baby goats," she confided, stepping into her underwear then holding up her arms so one of Dilan's shirts could be tugged over her head. "And that doesn't make any sense cause there's no goat people at all."

"Huh, you hear that Dilan? I get to be a kitty girl tonight!" Hmmm, did that mean she had to eat like Dilan did? She took a moment to lean up on the bathroom counter, checking her teeth in the mirror. Not the best for meat. "We can share dessert?"

"I can eat kinda like you," she tossed an arm over Dilan's shoulders and another around Braig's waist. "'Kay, let's go!" Food was good. Food with family was better.

It was shaping up to be a good night.
