Kiddie AU - Aya's living on the couch.
"She's WHAT?!" Elcy, it turned out, could roar. Much like a lion...only louder, if her son was to be believed, "Braig! Why didn't you tell me this earlier? We have spare rooms!"
"Mom...I..."
"We," Dilan broke in, "we didn't think..."
"I am very disappointed in the two of you. You are going to march right over there, young man," that was with a pointed finger at her son, "and grab that poor girl's things and bring them back here. You," at Dilan, "are going to get the larger of the spare rooms set up for her. I am going to go shopping. What's Aya's favourite colour?"
"Sky blue." said Braig, already grabbing his coat and heading out. He did not, nobody argued with his mom when she was that angry.
"Sky blue. Fine. Dilan, call Yinsi and let him know Aya is moving in with us."
"...Yes'm." Dilan mumbled, the last thing Braig heard before the door closed.
It didn't take long for him to get over to Aya's house...Aya's...old...house. "Hey! Ayay! You here?"

Braig hovered around between the two of them until Aya was passing him things, then set the table. "Looks good, Dilan."

Braig patted her head and got the things that were up high, "I got it, Aya. Napkins?"
no subject
They wanted baby origami napkins right?
no subject
Braig, however, said; "I didn't know you did origami, Aya. You should teach me sometime."

Dilan finished, frowning, "The Moogles aren't very good. I'll have to keep practising, but I'm out of carrots."
no subject
"They're great!" Aya giggled, poked a chunky moogle and then hugged Dilan. "Thanks for trying!"

Braig started to sit down as well, when the door opened again. Yinsi came in, staggering under a box. "I still don't understand what a dollhouse emergency could possibly be." he said mildly, "Aya, I believe this is for you."

Even Yinsi bows before Dilan's it is food time look.

"Mom didn't give me much warning either." Braig said, Dilan nodding, "We had forgotten to tell her that you were on the couch."
Elcy just looked...like she'd finally gotten herself a daughter.

"Next time we need like, alarms or something."

"He says he's coming soon."

It was a kid-friendly meal, mac'n'cheese with a salad for all of them, a couple of hamburger patties for Dilan, fruit salad for the others.
"It'll be good, Aya." Braig promised.
no subject
And yes, maybe. "We'll have fun!"
no subject
"Yeah, we will." that was both of the boys, a little out of sync.
no subject
But hey, the boys were there. She flashed them a smile.

"Nobody sleeps as much as Braig does." Dilan mumbled from around his burgers. Braig swatted him for that.
