The attempted incursion of other criminals into Traver's territory went badly. For the others. Between Breaker and Traver himself those who pushed too much found themselves far, far worse off than they started, although there were only rumours of deaths; no confirmations could be made.
That was worse than bodies, really. The rumours grew ("Breaker ripped some guy's head off and drank the blood", "Traver beat two men to death with a lead pipe") with each retelling, causing the territory to quickly be left alone and the flow of crime in that area to begin funnelling where they wanted it to go; through Traver. While cleaning up the area wasn't exactly the plan for the three undercover cops, Braig was keeping plenty of records with which to convict all kinds of other people when things had cooled down a little bit.
The first hint of more trouble was a dusky, Hispanic cop who did a great Cuban accent coming in to talk to Traver under cover of darkness. The meeting was tense, low-key, and short. Then it was a matter of sitting back to find out how fast it wandered into the dark precinct and how quickly it trickled down to Kyle Madigan.
