Aya AU
The bar brawl was magnificent. It spread from the original bar (Dilan isn't sure which one that was) to three or four others, going in and out of them into something not quite a riot but not exactly not. Dilan got involved in the second bar on the trip, but managed to hold his own until the cops got there.
And he very politely sat down with his hands behind his head waiting for them to get around to him. Someone with that much facial metal (eyebrow, lip, nose), that hair, and that size tends to ping the combatant radar of everyone. Ever.

"Bruised, scratched, maybe bleeding." she noted, taking her partner's hand and climbing to her feet. "This one here was at least cooperating? Get some cuffs over here before he loses feeling in his fingers..."

"Hate to break in, but he's going with the van boys now and we're hitting the alley." Danny teased a little grimly. "You'll see them all again soon enough at the station."

He heads for the van with careful, graceful steps designed to not read like a threat.

After the alley turned up nothing.
After Madigan remained missing.
After the quick shower and bandaging.
And after they talked to the first half dozen 'anomalies'. Aya came in with a cup of coffee in her hands and a file before her eyes. It was just the basic information for now but. "...doctor?"
Danny followed her into the questioning room with his own coffee and a cup for Dilan "You're joking right?"

He doesn't look terribly scientific. Not with the cut on his face and the black eye, the wife beater and the scrapes up and down his arms.

"You mind telling us what you were doing out in the bars tonight?" Danny asked, passing the cup of coffee then sitting next to his partner. "I mean, pardon me for saying so, but it isn't the kind of place you turn up doctors..."

Danny leaned back in his chair watched Dilan as the conversation played out to the ending of "...thanks Frank. No, not today, I'll be lucky to get myself home after all this. See you when I'm not a running on coffee okay?" she closed the phone and slid it back to Dilan. "Years, Danny. At least once a week, usually two or three times..."
Danny noted that then sighed "Right. Alright, Doctor, did you notice anything out of the ordinary besides the actual near riot? Think about how it began in your bar, was there any particular area it started, any new faces...?"

About that moment, the door to the questioning room opened and a tall, thin man wearing sunglasses (yes inside, and yes at night) poked his head in. "Yo, he's clean. Well, aside from a lot of bar brawl arrests and bails. Hell of a hobby, Doctor...umm...hey. I read your paper about cross linked relays? Can I get you to sign my coffee mug?"
Aya and Danny blinked, then the chuckling started.
"What? WHAT?" Pierce asked, coming fully in to brandish a coffee mug that read 'All your base' in block letters.

"Our tech guy, in case it wasn't obvious." Aya laughed as the mug was almost reverently cradled in said man's hands. "Braig?" she asked curiously, her partner flipping open their notes again.
"We didn't bring in a Braig..."

"Well, out without your 'reason' makes it a little closer to a hobby than you previously admitted." Danny pointed out. "Try to stay out of trouble alright? And stay out of the bars for a couple of days...until things settle down."
Aya nodded and finished her coffee "You're clear, Doctor. Who's next on our list Danny?"

At Dilan's question though, the woman froze, nothing but blank shock on her face as his words sunk in. "Well...damn." Danny noted. "You move quick."

"He did get hit in the head with a chair." Danny pointed out with a grin "The polite response, Aya, is 'What time Doctor?'"

"Please excuse her, she's been undercover most the weekend. Tomorrow's better." Thatgot her moving far enough away from the door to punch her partner in the shoulder. Danny ignored her wit the ease of long par5tnership and grinned at Dilan "She gets off tomorrow around six, provided nothing else blows up quite so spectacularly."
