Aya AU: meeting Cat

Dilan is hanging out near the station, waiting for Aya to get off work. Every now and then his hair makes a semi-disgruntled mrrp? noise. The reason for that is the small black cat who is not in the cat carrier at his feet.

"Ribs." he says instantly, "Ribs and feet, nowhere else."

[mitochondriaaya]

"I'll remember." she promised simply, swaying sideways enough to bump his side. "Sides and back of my knees for me..though I don't sink." she admitted.

"Well, no." Dilan says, laughing, "You're human. Not nearly as dense as I am."

he pauses for her to laugh.

[mitochondriaaya]

"Tell that to Danny." she wrinkled her nose at him in lieu of laughter.

[sliceitwithwind]

"Trust me, I will." Dilan agrees, "I'm perfectly happy to mock myself."

[mitochondriaaya]

"You know, he'll probably add you to the 'dense as a brick' list next to me instead of taking me off..." she sighed. "I can live with that though." she pulled herself up to sit on the side of the pool once more, mainly to reach his lips easily without climbing.

"Oh, probably." Dilan agrees, leaning over to kiss her in return, "I don't mind if you don't."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Nah, I don't mind. I've learned to put up with Danny." she chuckled. Her partner was good for her, but he was also as stubborn as she was. "Oh Jesus..." she laughed, lifting a few of his dreads to play with. "How do you swim when they're soaked through?" they got heavy. Well. Heavier.

"Amazingly enough, my dear, I'm stronger than my hair." Dilan says, beaming up at her.

[mitochondriaaya]

"Haha" she teased, bopping his nose with the end of one of his dreads. "Really though, it's almost as heavy as some of the weights we put in the training vests when we get dunked...I'm impressed."

"Awed even."

[sliceitwithwind]

He laughs at her and says, "I've been swimming with dreads since I was ten or so. They weren't this long, but they got long so gradually that I never noticed. I'd probably feel weird if I shaved them."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Yes" she agreed "And it'd be hard to get used to seeing you without them..." she admitted. She wrapped her handful of dreads around her arm, using the leverage to draw Dilan up just a little further.

Well, that was her intent anyway. If he didn't feel like moving she'd probably end up in the water again.

He obediently rises, "Man, I don't know what I look like without them. I've had them since I was 4'11"."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Hmmm" she was amused by that, she was. She was also busy wrapping her other hand in more dreads and nipping his lips.

Dilan shifts around until he can lean one hand on either side of her hips and hold himself half out of the water to meet her for easier kissing.

She wrapped her legs around his waist as a matter of course, but her attention was really on his lips. Her teeth were small and human, but it was still fun to nip slowly along his lips until she could kiss the corner of his mouth.

Dilan's teeth are worn down, compared to when he was young, but still slightly sharper than hers. He makes a strange little noise of pleasure, kin to a purr but not quite, into her mouth.

Her lips stretched into a grin at that sound. There were advantages to dating Dilan. One of them? The sheer range of sound he could make. It made her happy. Jesus.

She couldn't purr. She could worry his lower lip a moment more then give into to kissing? Or exploring the inner shape of his mouth really. she liked to know these things.

Dilan, if he ever knew that, would grin. As it is, he's just going to concentrate on kissing her more. Mmmm. Aya.

She'd probably never tell him? Just kinda grin. A lot.

The problem with a semi-public pool was that eventually some one would come in. In this case it was Nara who cleared his throat politely then dropped a towel over the couple's heads. "Thrilled you're dating Aya." he remarked teasingly.

Dilan just grinned, like a maniac. How could he not, when caught making out with Aya in a pool?

[mitochondriaaya]

Well, considering she'd gone a lovely shade of red and was giggling into the current kiss like anyone caught out...well...she couldn't exactly shake fingers at him. "If we stay under this towel do you think he'll forget we're here?"

"Doubt it." Dilan mock-whispered, "I'm probably still shedding into the pool." He did his best to get all the loose hairs off before getting into pools, but cats shed. That's just what they do. Katzu shed nearly as much.

[mitochondriaaya]

"Eh, that's what the cleaning crew is for." And gym fees. Not that she paid gym fees, but she would for the benefit of swimming with Dilan. "Few more laps?" Before Nara did something drastic, like hose them?*

"Few more laps sound good." He shoved himself off of the wall and back into the rhythm of swimming; long strokes to stretch his body a bit more before they left.
