Vice AU - Vacation

Dilan needed a break before the others did, although not by much. He needed to recover from having been ill, and he REALLY needed a good workout or seven. Spending the time in Aya's apartment wasn't bad, and after his first trip to Nara's gym he came back to spend some time watching TV and doing his hair.

Which is why when Ben got in there was a seven foot tall fluffy Katzu wearing a towel and a hell of a lot of piercings lounging in front of the TV with wax.

Dilan could deal with that! A lack of psionics suited his play style. He picked things up relatively quickly, not super fast but quick enough.

It was a...romp. That was the best way to describe it. A fun story about trying to get off a planet being taken over by an evil corporation that wanted trained goons.

Though they could go along with being goons if they wanted.

"...and that was lava. Yep. Lava." Oops.

"Whooops. Sorry." Dilan said with a snort, "Didn't mean to fall over."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Hey, I fell too so you couldn't even respawn with me!" It had been kind of funny actually, respawning near each other as they fell, leapfrogging to the lava! "It happens when you run away from grenades. Play again tomorrow?"

"Sounds like a plan." Dilan said, "I may wander around in the first level a couple of times to try to get the controls better."

[mitochondriaaya]

"That's cool, I gotta go to school so you can do anything you want!" Because a good host let guests have fun without pouting! "You can even beat the game if you want, it's still different in multiplayer because we can give different answers and get different scenes per person!" And end up against each other even!

"...Aya arrested me and sent me to a penal colony."

"She would." Dilan said, laughing, "We'll see what happens, how's that? I don't have plans for tomorrow yet."

[mitochondriaaya]

"She didn't kill me, which was an option!" Ben laughed and turned the machine off after making they had a stable save point pre-lava. "And they had money! And my girlfriend!" The game could get...complicated.

"Want me to pull up a list of local stuff before I go to bed? Or hey, did Aya give you her computer password? You can look at stuff too!"

"Nah, I'm fine." Dilan said with a smile, "Mostly I'm going to the gym and relaxing this week. It's nice to just feel safe for a while."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Oh, I go there on Wednesdays and Fridays! I'm in the junior self defense class!" Because Aya worried and it was a physical activity so! "You're in the katzu class right? We get to watch them sometimes!" He was moving to grab his toothbrush from the bathroom as he asked questions though.

It was almost nine after all.

"I'll see you there, then. We can come home together." he grinned, "I am in the Katzu class, although mostly I'm being demonstrated on it seems."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Well, yeah, if you can't be a regular then you get to be whatever they need right?" Ben knew how the world worked! "They do that with a lot of cops, keeps them 'combat ready and gives better workouts than a week of watching' Nara says."He took several moments to brush and rinse before grinning again. "Then he tells us that if we're good kids and come regularly we won't end up needing 'intensive training'."

"I think I'm also being punished for not being a competitor." Dilan admitted, laughing, "But I do love my job."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Nah, you only get punished if you hurt someone on purpose or something!" Ben assured easily. "And I'm glad you're partnered with Aya. She's tiny." Big guys evened the odds!

Dilan shrugged at the last, "So's Braig, and he can beat me sometimes. And he's missing an eye. Don't count her less for being small."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Well, yeah, but having someone big at her back is good too in case there's a lot of people!" He worried about that he did! "Or ninjas."

[sliceitwithwind]

"I promise to help her out in case of ninja." Dilan said, "And she's got both of us in case of a group."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Okay, good. Remember your promise!" In case of ninja! "Okay, I hink that's it. Good night Dilan! Thank you for coming to stay a bit!"

"I'll remember. I always remember my promises." Dilan said quietly, "G'night, Ben. Sleep well."
