Kiddie AU - The Proposal

Pierce, Danny, and Ben were in another cabin, about a mile down the beach from where the three lovers were staying...with orders to call before coming over or face the potentially naked consequences.

When they'd gotten there Braig had cornered Pierce and gotten the two jewellery boxes from him. After that it was only a question of finding the perfect moment.

One where they were alone...with the sun coming down and setting fire to the ocean. One where they were all quiet and content.

A little bit like now.

"Unrepentant brat," she nipped his ear and grinned. "We have a Dilan inside love, and we need to eat before we thank you for proposing..."

"So we do." Braig agreed, standing up and offering his hand, "Shall we? We can try to get as much of the sand off as possible before eating."

[mitochondriaaya]

She took is hand up and nodded, "Yeah, it's always more comfortable to eat without the whole beach as company. I'll find the stiff brushes for our love and you get the finer ones?"

"Sounds like a plan to me!" Braig said as he meandered into the house, batting sand off himself before going all the way in.

Dilan was in the kitchen area putting together an impromptu celebratory meal. They needed something more special than usual!

Aya danced a bit with each step to shake sand off as well then went to fetch the brushes that worked best for Dilan. "Smells wonderful in here!" Aya noted, darting in to start brushing Dilan's back when he took a moment to be still.

"Good!" Dilan said, settling down so he could be brushed, "We need to celebrate, you know?"

"Yup." Braig agreed, standing behind Aya to brush her hair while she brushed Dilan's back.

[mitochondriaaya]

"Something to celebrate," Aya agreed, leaning forward to kiss Dilan's shoulder before resuming the brushing. "And you're a tease and won't tell us what smells so wonderful!" They...could probably sit for hours brushing each other all told. Maybe some time she'd grow her hair long again because it was nice...

"Oh, I thought you wanted a surprise." Dilan said, laughing. Then he started telling the others what he was making for dinner; a variety of favourites and new recipes.

[mitochondriaaya]

"Well, if you wanted to surprise us..." Aya laughed and then listened properly. "Ohhh...turn around love, you get kisses!" And it was time to brush his chest and legs but!

Dilan laughed and turned, letting her get access to his front, "Sounds like a good dinner, then?"

In answer she just leaned up to kiss him properly because, yes, wow. "You spoil us love." So very much. So very, very much.

"We're getting married." he pointed out, "That's a huge thing."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Yes, we are, isn't it about damn time?" She grinned and gave him one more kiss before starting to brush his chest. "The whole town has been expecting it since we were kids after all. You'd have thought we'd clue in sooner..."

"Yes!" Braig called from behind her, "We've waited long enough and then some!"

Dilan grinned, "It'll be wonderful. Many, many a bet will finally come to fruition!"

[mitochondriaaya]

"Maybe we should have some kind of quiet wedding just for us then a big to-do for everyone else? You know there will be...a lot of noise." Aya paused a moment to lean back against Braig, smiling happily, before continuing to brush Dilan. They really had gotten a lot of sand on him hadn't they?

"Though we could just have a series of never ending parties, given how the clans will great us, then going home..."

"Mom would be really disappointed if we just have a small wedding." Braig said, "It'd probably be better just to go ahead and have the big one."

[mitochondriaaya]

"True...then we get to run off for a honeymoon." There was that at least! "Hopefully hanging out with the clans will help re-acclimate us to crowds."

"We could honeymoon in Spain." Dilan suggested, "We haven't been there in years."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Ohhhhh, that idea has merit. Enough warmth for you, enough slow, lazy days for Braig..." And both her boys outlined against a Spanish sunset on a balcony. She could certainly live with that! "We could go dancing, you remember how there were those little pockets of music all over the place..."

"The Spanish food!" Braig agreed, "I think that's a good idea, too. We'd have fun, and it'd be different from our normal outings."

"Lets call it a plan, then."

[mitochondriaaya]

"The sunsets and the breezes..." Aya laughed and knelt so she could brush Dilan's legs. "I like our plans. Take the brush away from Braig love? He needs brushing too!"

Dilan pried the brush out of Braig's hands and started gently brushing him out, getting as much sand as possible off him, "We'll all need to wash our hair, of course, but that can bee after supper."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Yeah, we'll eat, then baths." Aya agreed. "And I need to call for the car tomorrow before it gets too late. Remind me if I forget!" And she might, after all she was surrounded by boys and that was a very distracting thing!

[sliceitwithwind]

"Shower for me." Dilan said, "A bath'll just make me float in a collection of sand that will get stuck in my body-hair all over again."

"Mmmmmph." Braig said. He was busy being brushed, you see.

"Shower then join us in the bath?" Aya asked, looking up at him with big, pleading eyes. "Showers all around then a nice, long soak?"
