Vice - Clubbing with Kyle

The group that was waiting outside the gym where Breaker was to meet Kyle was...colourful. Some of the local thugs and bodyguards...both legit and non. A couple of people who looked as dangerous as weasels, and a couple of people who looked as bland as wall paper.

None of them were smoking, but somehow they looked like they were.

"Academy!" All three men sang out, "Hackett was the year behind us."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Uh oh,"she laughed and pulled the bread out. "I know what kind of trouble academy buds can get up to! "Do you have horror stories for me?"

They could make that last all night, really. One story after another throughout dinner.

[mitochondriaaya]

She offered her own stories; granted she'd been younger in the academy, her hijinx a little tamer, but she had a few good ones! And three big lasagnas was just about enough for the four! By the time the food was gone and the pets had been fed dawn was starting to tint the sky. "Hey, come back alright Hackett? It's nice to have visitors." And she'd liked him honestly!

"Will do." he said, shrugging his coat on and heading out, whistling.

Dilan stretched and yawned widely, "So. Now you've met one of our friends."

"He's fun, I like him!," Aya admitted, stretching up on her toes until her spine popped. "Between the two of you I bet Kyle's head explodes." Because they were wicked, wicked men.

"Oh, probably." Dilan grinned, "He's a great guy."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Probably?" Aya chuckled and hooked her arm in Dilan's. "If his head explodes on duty you get to pay for my dry cleaning." Just saying!

"Fun. I'd be happy to see him back, and I hope this kind of work doesn't mess with him too bad."

"Honestly I think it'll be good for him." Braig said, "Hackett's been getting bored...a little terror will either have him step up and be ready to do something else, or help him recover his love of what he does."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Where do you think he's headed if he does step up?" she asked curiously. Then? Then she facepalmed "We forgot to get those pictures off his phone!"

"No clue." Braig admitted, "He'll send 'em for us. He might go in vice? Or just help IA out again."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Eh, tease. We don't get to see Dilan dancing," she sighed. Really, it would have been nice! She'd have to wait until Hackett sent them though. "Well, eithe rway maybe I'll end up working with him sometime? That'd be fun." They'd see!

"I think it would be." Braig agreed, "The two of you have very similar senses of humour."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Uh oh," she chuckled, offering her free hand to Braig. "Is that a bad thing or a good thing?"

"I think it's a good thing." he said, taking her hand and resisting the urge to swipe his thumb around it. He wasn't drunk and they weren't on duty.

"Then I won't worry," she admitted lightly, tugging him into a relaxed hug. "How's the headache? Need anything else before I try to get some sleep?"

Braig hugged her back, and sighed with pleasure when Dilan joined the hug from behind him. "Nah, I think it's just time for everyone to get some rest."

"That'd be good." Dilan admitted.

[mitochondriaaya]

She caught her jaw cracking on a yawn and nodded. "Yeah. Sleep and then work. How did the bathroom come out? Is it still a Sheeva disaster zone or safe to brush our teeth?"

"It's. Better." Braig said, grimacing.

"I'll take care of it when I wake up." Dilan said, shaking his head.

[mitochondriaaya]

"Detour to the kitchen sink for teeth brushing?" Aya suggested with a chuckle. "And if you call me at work I can bring home any cleaning stuff we run out of?"

"Sounds like a plan." Braig braved the bathroom to get tooth brushing things and brought them out. "She really is a natural disaster."

Aya hitched herself up to sit on the counter and kicked her feet gently. "Yeah, she is, but she loves us?" Said pup was puffy clean and hiding under the kitchen table! "And at least we don't feel like the worst people in the world for bathing her! I feel horrid when we bathe Cat!"

"Cat really does do miserable well." Dilan admitted, "She's hiding really well tonight, isn't she?"

"Yeah, not a peep out of her since Sheeva jumped into the bath," Aya admitted. "She'll probably show up when we're all in bed though?" Just to make sure she got her preferred spot!

"Yeah, probably." Actually Cat came skulking out of hiding so that she could strop Dilan. Dilan wasn't going to bathe her, surely!
