Vice - Clubbing with Kyle
The group that was waiting outside the gym where Breaker was to meet Kyle was...colourful. Some of the local thugs and bodyguards...both legit and non. A couple of people who looked as dangerous as weasels, and a couple of people who looked as bland as wall paper.
None of them were smoking, but somehow they looked like they were.

Just hell.
Still, he managed to be smiling slightly in that way of his as he came out the doors. "Hey..." yeah. That was a motley lot wasn't it?
Several of the men shifted about, focusing on the new guy.

Mudge was there, in the group, chatting with one of the weasel-like men.
"Detective Madigan is decent enough."
no subject
As were Breaker's friends but...they weren't too different from the people he knew anyway. "Hey." Because the first 'hey' had been for Breaker only. "Stress relief?' he asked, not begging but...yeah. He needed a night out, couldn't they see that?
One of the cons snorted and folded his arms. "Decent enough? Fucking detective Breaker. What are you on?"
no subject
Which made several of the others chortle, and Jos turn red. "Fine. Fucker."
Mudge put his arm through Breaker's, none of the other men so much as batted an eye.
"Start shit and you'll be the ex-detective Madigan." Jos snarled as they turned to walk to the club.

Well, and Mudge. He needed to talk to Mudge later.
The rest of the gang fell in around them, drifting down a suddenly clear street and sidewalk. They just screamed menace really.

A tiny bit of a woman came boiling out of a booth when she saw them...looking rather like a grade-school teacher, although in a nice dress. She was taller than Aya, by an inch or two, but slender...and she tossed herself at Jos, trying to eat his tonsils out.

Kyle...rolled his eyes and did not look uncomfortable at all in this environ. No. "You don't do things by halves do you Breaker?" Not in the least. This place was...yeah.
no subject
"Why should I, detective?" Breaker asked, "Life's too short. Even for Katzu."
no subject
Kyle shrugged, showing not the least bit of interest in the possibility of women. Darlene wasn't present and therefore he wasn't interested. "I dunno, comfort levels? Expedience? C'mon, first round's on me. I asked for a night out after all."
no subject
"Fair enough." Breaker agreed, "You want to grab a table, Jos, and pull it over to Jenny's booth?" He didn't care for women, but Jos was a good guy and it was worth dealing with them to make the straight men happy. "I'll help get drinks."
no subject
Kyle chuckled softly and nodded toward the bar. "Your friend's a card, Breaker. The rest of them that fun or is Jos an exception?" Since most of the crew wasn't that forthcoming yet.
no subject
"Some of them." he said, shrugging, "I brought a variety of people."

"Okay, one round. just one round, I can already hear my savings account screaming."

"Probably, not just possible, else cons wouldn't work so well on norms." There was already a lot of deluding going on so! "And yeah, I prefer real people myself."
no subject
Do you see that little flex, Kyle?

Breaker passed the drinks around, again by memory, and settled into a chair with his screwdriver and an arm around Mudge.

Kyle chuckled, shook his head at Jos, women eh? then turned a chair around to sit on. He liked having a chair back to cross his arms over. The next bog problem was...how to talk to Mudge if he was going to be attached to Breaker's hip?
Jos, well, he was grinning. "So, some hard headed guys, a cop, and some school teachers walk into a bar..."
