"Actually no." he says, laughing, "I prefer going up the walls. Dilan prefers watching, but isn't bad himself when he feels like it."

"I'd climb anything" she shrugged, dragging back on Braig's hand until they were back at an acceptable walking rate. "But I can understand sticking to walls." she teased.

"We'll have to all go climbing sometime. It's fun to get Maya up."

He grins at her and shifts his hand until his fingers are more laced through hers instead of capturing them. "What can I say, walls are more fun than slides. Ever been up the side of the mall? It's got just enough give that you can get up the bricks without it being easy." he's always wracked in sweat by the time he's made it up all four stories.

"I think that'd be fun. We could go out to the woods on the east side..."

"Maya won't let me." she admitted sheepishly "We do go to the mall sometimes, early or late when it's not crowded but she latches onto my shirt and tells me no a lot until we're inside..." she felt lucky she could get away with climbing the hospital sometimes?

"Ohhh, wood foray. Actual tree climbing?"

"I won't tell if you don't." he says, grinning widely, "Whenever you want. And yeah, trees. Dilan likes trees, and he also likes chasing the wildlife."

"Keep anyone from catching us on film..." she laughed "Things get back to Maya." Nurses talked! It was one of the most effective information networks in existence. "We like trees...we don't get out there much, but we spent a few of our best years woods tromping out on photo trips with our parents. Most the wildlife was safe from us though...I kind of feel sorry for anything catching Dilan's eye."

Braig just grins, "Dilan is my main man. My only man, really." He's as big in computers as he is in medicine, Braig's Dilan. "We'll make it a date, then. He won't kill anything with the two of you there, but he's able to run down almost everything."

"You're on" because it'd be fun as hell to climb the mall and it was actually fun to be with Braig "We don't mind if he hunts, we just won't really be able to eat anything he decides to kill." she could say that with a high degree of certainty!

Braig laughs, cheerfully, and says, "You pick the night, babe. And Dilan is fine with catch and release."

"Maya should pick the night." she admitted "She's better with the schedules and such." the most she really remembered was what nights she was suppose to work emergency.

"I'm sure it'll be fun to see anyway."

"Then you tell her to send it to our PDAs, Aya." he says with a sweet smile, "It'll be awesome."

"I'll tell her when I get back." Maya wouldn't believe her, and would probably call to confirm but...she'd tell her. "Ah, there's our cafe. You have to eat something healthy, I promised."

"Something healthy." he sighs and shakes his head "You, Mark, and Dilan. Sheesh."

"Something" she laughed and elbowed him gently "At least one thing in your meal."

He grins, "Fair enough. Lets see what they've got that you won't mind me eating around you."

"It hasn't been a bad day." she admitted, touched by his consideration "I can probably handle you eating anything across the table."

"Meh." Braig shrugs at her, "Still. You get something, I'll get the same thing, I can have something else later if I feel like it."

"That takes half the fun out of dining with someone else." she sighed "You can sample twice as much food with two people!"

He laughs and says, "Fine, then order two things and we'll each eat one! I've had everything here, and like it. Dilan makes better, of course."

"Why do I have to make all the food decisions suddenly? All I did I was relay the healthy thing!" she was smiling and laughing as she said it but...she was also pretty sure, with her dating luck, she'd find the one new thing that he was allergic to.

He laughs and says, "Because the one with the most sensitivities does the ordering, babe. And I? Can eat almost anything I can swallow. If it's marketed as food, I can eat it."

He's even only had one tapeworm.

"You've got a lot of luck in your life don't you?" she wrinkled her nose at him and opened the door to the cafe "You didn't push that when you were kid did you? Swallowing weird things...we had a kid in ER last week who managed to swallow some strange things."

"I do." he agrees, "My life is awesome. And I plead the right not to tell people I haven't been dating for a year or more the grosser stories of my misspent youth."

"Hey, I'm a doctor, we live on gross stories." she pointed out with a chuckle "Sweetness and light usually doesn't get us past one am." that or being a doctor ruined people for life.

"Provided my luck holds out and we're still talking in a year I'll ask again."

"If Dilan and I get our way we will." Braig says, squeezing her hand gently, "We don't give up on friendships easily. Or potential dates."
