Vice AU - Vacation

Dilan needed a break before the others did, although not by much. He needed to recover from having been ill, and he REALLY needed a good workout or seven. Spending the time in Aya's apartment wasn't bad, and after his first trip to Nara's gym he came back to spend some time watching TV and doing his hair.

Which is why when Ben got in there was a seven foot tall fluffy Katzu wearing a towel and a hell of a lot of piercings lounging in front of the TV with wax.

"That'd be nice." Dilan agreed, "I like the zoo here. I don't go into the petting area, but it's nice to look at the other animals. The big cats and I get along just fine."

[mitochondriaaya]

"The petting area is boring. Unless they're having the owls and raptors in public!" They did that sometimes, with birds that couldn't heal well enough to be released. Had supervised hours with them acclimating to people at the zoo! "Hey, can you talk to cats?!"

"No better than anyone else can." Dilan said, laughing, "But I get cat body language and they're pretty comfortable around me."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Awww, was gonna ask if Olia could talk to lemurs next." Ben sighed, knowing it had been a dumb question but...would have been awesome anyway! "So maybe you guys can come next time we go to the zoo! I'll remember to ask!"

[sliceitwithwind]

"Only conversation Braig has ever had with a lemur was 'get off my Dilan'." he said with a laugh, "And they didn't respond. Sure, if we can we'll come. Braig likes the zoo, too. I'm not allowed to spend much time around the penguins, though. Apparently my interest in eating them is 'creepy'."

"...you want to eat a penguin?" That was new on him! "Would they look like a turkey after they're cooked?"

[sliceitwithwind]

"I have no idea. I just look at them and they look so...tasty."

[mitochondriaaya]

"That's kinda cool I guess? That's kinda what I'm like when I see the dancing M&M commercial!" Less bird, more candy, but hey, he drooled!

[sliceitwithwind]

"Braig's like that, too." Dilan mentioned, "He loves that commercial and says he wants an M&M that size."

[mitochondriaaya]

"I don't think I could ever eat it all, it's huge! But maybe if I shared? And we had hammers?" GIANT M&M dreams. "But you could probably eat a whole penguin, those are smaller." Practical dream!

[sliceitwithwind]

"They are. And so waddly. I love the waddling, they just look so dang edible." He shook his head, trying to get the image out of his head, "I bet Braig would go along with it."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Hee...waddly." That was just a fun word right? "Go along with the penguin thing or the M&M thing?"

[sliceitwithwind]

"The M&M thing. He's not really big on the idea of me eating a penguin. He's got this thing against eating endangered species." Which. He can kind of get.

[mitochondriaaya]

"I don't think M&M's that big are actually real though," sad times. "And not all penguins are endangered right? Do those ones not look as tasty?"

[sliceitwithwind]

"Yeah, I doubt they make them that big...and I don't know about the penguins. Better just not to eat any." BIG sigh.

[mitochondriaaya]

"Man, that sucks." He felt you Dilan, he felt you. No giant M&M's. No penguin eating. Laaaame. "Can I take some of this for lunch tomorrow?"

[sliceitwithwind]

"Sure." Dilan said, "Take as much as you want."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Cool! Here, there's stuff to put things in in this drawer..." yep, scrambling off the chair so he could grab containers! "This is awesome and they'd never make it at the cafeteria!"

[sliceitwithwind]

"Awesome." Dilan helped Ben put things away, "I'll try to cook enough for lunches as well while I'm here."

[mitochondriaaya]

"That would be great! We cook extra for lunches a lot too, but I forgot yesterday." Because he cheated and had pizza. Mini pizzas! It was okay as long as it wasn't something he did a lot! "I made them out of English muffins and put toppings on and stuff, there's a goat cheese mozarella that melts okay, and it's better on pizza than on sandwiches." And he still took his pill just in case!

"No problem. And if you have any favourites just let me know and I'll write the recipe down for you."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Oh, hey!" Ben grinned, stuffed his containers in the fridge, then trotted off to fetch NOTECARDS! "We have a recipe box for recipes that aren't in a book!"

"Awesome. Do you want the rice recipe?" Or the dessert one, but lets start with the meal itself.

[mitochondriaaya]

"Sure, we can write it down and if Aya doesn't like it we'll still have it so I can make it for other people!" Like culture festivals and stuff! "Aya will probably like it though."

[sliceitwithwind]

"Sounds good...she's liked everything I've made so far." He paused in speaking while writing down, then said, "Or at least I think she has. She hasn't complained, anyway."
