"I'm terrifying." Dilan agrees, "Rar. Grr. 'Scuse me." the last to someone he came far too close to bumping into.

"And polite" she noted cheerfully. "Terror in an incredibly agreeable package. No wonder you've managed to keep your true nature hidden so long..." she laughed.

"Oh...crap. Bicyclists!"

"Grass to the left." Dilan says, heading that way and tugging her with him. He falls, gracefully, on his ass and provides her with a soft place to land. Relatively soft, anyway, there's a lot of bone structure there as well. "So. Food?"

"Yeep!" yes, it was a small, bitten off sound. At least she didn't deck him? Nope, she just landed as gently as she could without rolling and looked up at him "Umm, yes? I take it you're hungry?"

Or hungry enough? She could totally get the backpack off yes!

"Well, might as well eat now that we're not in danger of getting run over." He points out cheerfully.

She has a nice rear. Yum.

It was...really strange to fit entirely n a person's lap. Not that she had many laps to compare Dilan's too, but she couldn't complain. Nope, wasn't going to complain at all.

"Well, here." she passed one of the thermoses on top to him, then started pulling out the lunch carriers "I ended up making various piroshkis. Hmmm, blue cooler has the fruit based ones, apples and raisins mainly, the other two have various combinations of ground meat, cheese, and potatoes..." and they were still warm! Yay for the heating pack trick.

"I shall walk the path of virtue and go for the meaty ones first." Dilan says with a grin, "My own bag has a collection of kebabs in it, in the pack under the photoalbum."

She obligingly set the first bag of fruitless food down by his side "Looks like we're set then." she wasn't going to explain the thermoses. She wanted to see how he liked the raw strawberry lemonade.

And distractingly enough...she was still in his lap. Hmmm. It be easier to curl up comfortably if..." I'm going to take my skates off alright? Unless you want to evict me. Either way..."

Dilan coughs, pointedly does not shift because that could be embarrassing, and states, "I am perfectly happy to have you stay where you are." then reaches for a thermos.

Oh.

Oooooooooo.

"Mrrrp!"

Hey, sometimes it was best to ask! She shifted just enough to reach her skates, then curled back warmly against his chest once she didn't have two pounds of metal and rubber on her feet. "Mrrp?" she blinked.

"I take it you like it?" because it didn't sound like a choking, or unhappy 'Mrrrp'? "There's a produce stand around the corner from my house. I tend to buy fruit for snacks and cut and freeze a good portion of it to put in drinks...."

Sorry, Aya, you're just not quite getting through right now. Dilan is half-lounging at this point, rolling the drink around in his mouth with a besotted expression and three-quarter lidded eyes.

Idly she wondered if Ben had ever put 'Don't drug your date' on her rule lists. She'd have to check...because she seemed to have accidentally broken that. Umm? She probably should have gotten food into his hands before the thermos.

Really.

She'd feel worse about the mishap if she wasn't so incredibly amused. It was fun to just watch him for a minute or more...but finally she sighed and reached up to gently take the thermos from him and place food in his hands "Dilan?"

He makes a sad noise when the drink is removed, but obediently starts eating. "That's good, Aya. The drink. Mmmmmm."

The drink didn't go far at least? She just set it next to his knee. "But maaaybe I should have warned you?" she offered.

Her own food was relatively untouched. What? She was rather distracted by watching Dilan's face. He was an incredibly expressive person and...and...and yeah. She couldn't really justify it. Hello libido?

"No, no, it's fine. I like surprises." Dilan assures her, laughing softly, "I'm warned now."

"I don't think it counts as being warned, post-tasting." she noted with a grin. "And I think I might be justifiably smug had I actually intended to get a 'Mrrrp' reaction..."

She lifted her free hand to stroke his cheek gently, watching her own fingers rather than his face now "You were incredibly amusing to watch...but I was worried, a little, that I might have accidentally slipped you something..."

He leans into the touch, rubbing the silky hair of his sideburns along her fingers, "I did mention my strawberry thing." he points out virtuously, "Add that to lemons and yum."

"Hmmm, but neglected to mention the sheer bliss reaction..." she teased gently. "I swear I've seen stoners who looked less happy." next time she wouldn't worry even a little. She'd probably laugh though.

Sideburns were actually new for her. She took a moment to register the textures and her smile got just a little soft around the edges. Later she'd probably be weighing consequence and 'can I handle dating a polygamist' questions. Right now she was just trying to figure out if it would be best to stand to kiss him, or work on dragging his face down to reachable heights. Damn, decisions...

"Meh, pot's fun but not nearly as nice as strawberry lemonade." Dilan says with a casual dismissal that also states he's tried both.

He grins down at the look on her face and brings his free hand up to cup her cheek in mirror of what she's doing with his.

"Should I be afraid to let you finish the thermos?" she laughed. She didn't mind the pot comment so much. She was firmly on the side of legalizing the damn weed to better control it.

Well, damn, this was cozy. Nice. There were words for the warmth, really there were...but they didn't matter so much in light of her brain clicking off. It was suddenly very easy to decide exactly how to bridge those several inches for a kiss. It involved her free hand bracing against his chest, but she wasn't balancing all her weight there, just making sure she didn't fall over!

Fun thing about Aya, well, once she decided to do something, she didn't hesitate. And she'd already asked permission after all.

"Nah." he's saying when she leans up and there are suddenly far more important things than defending his drinking habits. Things like tilting his head down to meet her, and brushing her lips with his own very gently.

Hey, he was making things easy on her! She could certainly approve of that. Sure, it had been a little while since she'd last kissed anyone, and his leaning forward made her misjudge slightly, but hey, they still managed. Gentle, sweet...

...good qualities for a first kiss.

She lingered a moment before settling back down and licking her lips thoughtfully.

Dilan keeps his eyes closed a minute longer, then sighs with pleasure. He gives her a very gentle hug and tries quite hard to not move anything below the waist.

Think ice-water thoughts, Dilan. Ice water.

Her brain clicked back on to the fact that she was being an incredibly unintentional tease. Sitting in a guys lap probably shouldn't be combined with surprise kissing...damn. Oops? She moved like liquid, naturally shifting to sit on the ground beside him. She made it very, very clear she wasn't running though by slipping an arm around his waist and leaning.

Then, finally, she actually remembered to eat something. Sue her, she couldn't exactly figure out what to say to get conversation back.

Dilan wraps his arm around her in turn and says, "You're a good cook. Can I get the recipe?"
