Braig was out of the room when Dilan peeked back in, finally. He grabbed the bag, which over the course of packing had taken on capital letters; The Bag. It had the G-strings with their fake fig leaves, the apples, Aya's clear bra, and the container that held one comfortably dozing snake.

Dilan had checked, it was fine to keep the snake curled up in there for the couple of hours it had taken...and he'd checked on it every time they stopped. Still a very large snake. Very large. He poked the remaining lump in the bed, "Aya! He's out!"

He dropped her share of stuff on the bed and started stripping with absolutely no regard for modesty. Not that he'd ever had any. The usual array of noises that occurred after every waxing were made, along with giggles. (Manly giggles.)

"We're on Fifth and Everest." He offered, peering up at the signs. "And yeah, maybe recycled? We could totally be green."

"Nah, I'm not that drunk." he mumbled, "Hotel's on...Tenth an' Magnolia."

"Awww, don't you want a shiny new you with consumer applications?" He laughed and peered at the next sign. "Fourth. Okay, turn around!"

"No." Braig said, simply, "I am fuckin' awesome the way I am." he turned around and began staggering back the way they came. "Fuuuuuck. Call a cab. I have money."

Possibly not the brightest thing to say in public at this time of night.

"And far too aware of it." He shook his head. "I'll flag the next one I see, I don't have the taxi on speed dial after all and I don't know if I can read the screen." He was an honest drunk!

And far too oblivious 3`to notice the shifting shadows in the nearby alley!

"Mmph." Braig, however, did notice. And straightened up as best he could. "Shadow in the alley."

Straightening was always something Pierce noticed with Braig! "Huh, yeah? And shadows on the street, and shadows on the road..." and yep it gave him the excuse to wheel and watch the alley.

"So, what now?"

Braig grinned, loose and easy, "We keep walking and see if the night's gonna start looking up, dude."

[mitochondriaaya]

"You are sick. Sick and deranged." He shook his head, glanced up at the sky for patience, and staggered next to Braig. "What I said about the bus? Counts for this too if you die you know."

Just saying.

Yep, footsteps behind them!

"Yeah, yeah." he groused, turning to look at the owner of the footsteps.

It was a big guy, of COURSE it was a big guy, who was holding a knife like he knew what to do with it.

"Wallets."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Huh, well, of course." Pierce turned as well, fumbling at his pockets. "Dude, where did I leave mine? I know the moogle got paid..."

Pat, pat, grin. "Can't say no to the bobbles you know? You don't pay and they meld you with something weird..."

Braig just...grinned...and stood up straight, "Naaaah. I don't think so. Y'know, it's one of those things where I just don't support thievery."

[mitochondriaaya]

"What he means to say is that he thinks you're an ugly mother you know? And you should get a respectable job doing something useful like boot shining or dancing at a club or something." Cause people were into the weirdest shit sometimes.

"And you smell."

"Really smell." Braig agreed, half dancing on his toes as the big guy looked more and more angry,

"Gimme your fuckin' wallets!"

"Can't find it you know? I tried man, I mean, I'm just a programmer and shit. You could break me like a toothpick." Easy peasy even.

"Him on the other hand...he bites."

[sliceitwithwind]

"I really fuckin' do." Braig agreed, beckoning, "C'mon. Lets do this."

The big guy, who was obviously not very bright, raised his knife into fighting position and came at them.

See, in times like these Pierce knew he wasn't the best guy to have on hand. He wasn't a belted anything, but what he could do was keep an eye on that knife! "Left side, high!"

"I see it." Braig practically trilled, using his lack-of-height to slide in under the arm and begin administering a beat-down.

The mugger, after all, lacked anything resembling Nevada's training.

At the end of it Braig was bleeding from several shallow wounds, but the mugger was unconscious.

"Making sure dude. You know what they'd do to me if you lost an eye or something?!" Pierce had...stepped back during the brief, vicious beat down. Best to stay clear after all. "I have the cops now, you want to be on scene when they get here for the hunk of meat?"

"Yeah, yeah. I'm not going to lose an eye." He slapped a hand over one of the deeper cuts, "I better be on hand. If I'm not, Aya will fucking kill me."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Cool, then we stay. I'll sit on him, you...eh, bleed. Want a cure? I can do a small one, close that up some?"

[sliceitwithwind]

"Nah. I should let the EMTs look at it." You know, so that he doesn't get charged with attacking. "Fuck, though, my face hurts."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Well, yeah, knife. And you should probably look at the knife make sure there wasn't anything weird on it." Because he wouldn't put it past the idiot to have a poisoned blade.

"That's...a good idea." Braig agreed, kneeling down without touching the knife to look at it. There was a suspicious film on it, one that made him frown.

"I hope the cops get here quickly. I don't like the look of that."

"Dude, if you start twitching or something I am slapping a Cure on you, report or no." Because that wasn't cool at all. "Oh, hey, did you ever pick up Detox spells? That could help!"
