Kiddie AU - Post growth spurt

It'd been a week, but Dilan...was nowhere near used to his new size. He kept banging into walls, doors, low hanging objects. Anything dangling from the ceiling, and he kept forgetting how wide his shoulders were as well. It was driving him insane.

Not to mention the fears that his size and new, distinct lack of "cuteness" meant that he was hideous looking. He wasn't ready to go back to college, not while still recovering from the agony of the growth spurt, so he was curled up at home trying to get used to himself. Braig had needed to go back and pick school work up for the two of them, trusting that Aya would take care of Dilan until he got back.

Dilan was curled up on the back porch with a couple of blankets and a book. And a protein shake the size of a monster slurpee cup.

That hostess was going to remember that smile Dilan! Aya busied herself tucking bags safely under the table then flopped down next to Dilan. "So, plans for tomorrow yet?"

Yeah, he was going to cut swaths through the female population without realising it.

"Gonna go to the gym and start trying to build muscle mass again."

And then he'd do it with complete cognizance! Terrifying wasn't it?

"Which gym? I can meet you there after school if you'll be there all day!" Or she could go home and grab food and bring it to him at the gym...

"Mornen's." Dilan said, "They've got the best weight set."

[mitochondriaaya]

"I can show up with chicken from the Tavern?" Aya suggested. "And you promise to be careful? Maybe get someone to coach?"

"Will do." Dilan promised, "I'll take it easy, I just...want to finish growing."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Yeah, and you'll bulk up soon too, katzu do that in what, a few more months past growth spurt?" Aya asked, trying to remember.

"Yeah. Four or five." Dilan said, sighing.

[mitochondriaaya]

"Which is still loads faster than any other species!" Aya laughed and leaned against his arm. "I won't put on that much muscle in years! I'm jealous!"

[sliceitwithwind]

"You're never going to put on that much muscle, Aya. You're a human female."

[mitochondriaaya]

"I'm jealous." Aya had to say it really! "I could lift a car! Imagine that!"

Dilan giggled a little bit, and then put in the order for himself and Elcy and Yinsi.

"See? It'd be awesome!" Aya laughed and placed her own order. "And then I'd run with the circus for a year or something before college."

[sliceitwithwind]

Dilan snorted, "You'd miss us." he pointed out, "And you don't really like circuses...too many people." Or maybe that was just him.

Too many people did make her edgy, that was true. "Yeah, true. I'd just lift cars here. Walk off with tourist vehicles or something."

[sliceitwithwind]

"And then you'd end up with a record and it'd make it harder for you to be a cop." Dilan pointed out, munching on breadsticks.

[mitochondriaaya]

"Sure, make my muscle dreams practical," Aya snorted and munched a breadstick as well. "Fine, you lift cars. I'll ticket them when they end up in weird places."

Dilan snickered a little, "I can move Braig's car around?"

[mitochondriaaya]

"I'd feel bad giving Braig tickets." Nuts. "Stick it in odd places?"

[sliceitwithwind]

"We'll figure something out." Dilan said, offering her a piece of bready goodness.

[mitochondriaaya]

Shared bread was the best bread! Yes, she totally forgot to nibble her own piece! "Walk it inside one of his classrooms after hours."

"His car's too big." Dilan said, "The doors are too small for that, but maybe the gym?"

"Is it too heavy to balance on a diving board?"

[sliceitwithwind]

"...Way, way too heavy." Dilan said, shaking his head, "Aya, it's a car big enough to fit me."

[mitochondriaaya]

"Yeah, but don't you have uber college swim team dive boards?" Aya grinned and waved her forgotten breadstick at him. "Or stick near the pool and let it relax a bit?"
